My career began at age 15 working in my family’s business in a small country town in South Australia. This experience gave me a strong foundation in customer service, operations, and the realities of running a small business. In my early twenties, I went on to open my first retail business and later expanded into multiple sites across retail, food, and franchised environments. Over the next decade, I owned a total of 12 businesses including butcher shops, a fruit and vegetable retail operation, and a Tatts Lotteries agency. Across these operations, I employed over 50 staff and generated more than $60 million in total revenue. This hands-on experience allowed me to develop deep knowledge in leadership, staffing, financial management, and operational systems. At age 33, I was recognised as one of Australia's Top 50 Small Business Leaders, which marked a shift in my focus from running businesses to supporting others in theirs. I began working more closely with business owners on operational improvement, negotiation, exit planning, and strategic growth. With The Finn Group being one of Australia’s leading business brokerage networks, joining the team was a natural step. Today, my work centers on helping business owners navigate buying, selling, or transitioning a business with clarity, structure, and confidence. I believe successful transactions are built on preparation, communication, integrity, and structured processes, not guesswork or pressure.
